PDF E-mail Print

Towns and villages represent the basic self-governing areas. These are territorial associations of citizens whose right for local government is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Czech Republic. Kolín is governed by the municipal council, other town authorities are town council, the mayor, town municipality and special town authorities. Another authority is a town committee if it was entrusted with the execution of delegated competency. The symbols of the town are the town coat of arms and the town banner.
